Sheets2GCal is a FREE add-on for Google Sheets to allow fast event creation from spreadsheets.
To get started please install the extension from the Chrome Web Store (or "Add-ons" -> "Manage Add-ons"), then open any sheet and authorize modifications to your calendars by opening Sheets2GCal in the "Add-ons" menu.
If you require personal support please consider purchasing a Sheets2GCal support subscription HERE.
Before using Sheets2GCal please ensure that you have at least the following columns in the first row of your spreadsheet: 'Start', 'End' and 'Title'. Please remember to set the Spreadsheet to the same Timezone as your Google Calendar.
For the best results, please make a copy (file menu -> copy...) of the official Sheets2GCal Sheet which is set up with the correct column headers, formatting and data validation. You may also use your own Sheets if the first row contains the correct column headers.
The 'Start' and 'End' columns can be dates complete with day and time, or only the day in which case you also need 'Start Time' and 'End Time' columns (HH:MM). You may use any locale in the spreadsheets settings, and format the columns to display dates however you choose to view them - this will not affect how Sheets2GCal imports the events.
Sheets2GCal will also process columns called 'Description', 'Location', 'Repeat', 'Count' and 'Guests', if present. The 'Repeat' column should contain either 'daily', 'weekly', 'monthly' or 'yearly', and the 'Count' column the number of times to repeat the event.
Add a list of emails separated by commas in the 'Guests' field and these will be added to the event. Don't forget to check the "Send Invitations" checkbox if you want invitations sent (future events only).
Using Sheets2GCal with GCalToolkit
Repeat events are not compatible with spreadsheet data - unless you use the official Sheets2GCal Sheet which allows you to create simple repeat events directly in a spreadsheet for upload to Google Calendar. Spreadsheets saved from GCalToolkit can however be imported to a Google Sheet, and single events will be copied correctly. For repeat events you would have to add the "Repeat" and "Count" columns manually.
Sheets2GCal does not store any personal information and uses only the official Google API and OAuth authorization to access your calendars. Your email address will not be shared with 3rd parties, and you will not receive any promotional emails. Authorization for Sheets2GCal can be revoked at any time in your Google Account Settings at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Sheets2GCal is provided free of charge, and the developer may not be held responsible for any problems caused directly or indirectly by the software.
